Background Actor Sues Mia Goth for Battery on Set of ‘X Max: Rebirth’
A background actor has filed a lawsuit against actress Mia Goth, accusing her of battery during the filming of the A24 sequel, ‘X Max: Rebirth’.

The lawsuit, filed by James Hunter, alleges that Goth intentionally kicked him in the head while shooting a scene in April last year. Goth, known for her roles in Ti West‘s horror films ‘X’ and ‘Pearl,’ was supposed to run past Hunter, who was playing the role of a ‘Dead Parishioner’ covered in fake blood.

Hunter claims that during the fourth take, Goth nearly stepped on him. After he complained to the assistant director, the concern was relayed to Goth, and on the next take, she deliberately kicked him in the head with her boot. Hunter further alleges that Goth taunted and belittled him in the bathroom after the scene, causing him emotional distress.

Following the incident, Hunter experienced pain in his head and had to remove dried fake blood from his robe, causing additional discomfort. He felt lightheaded and had to pull over twice on his way home. The next day, he was informed by the casting agency that he was not needed for the remaining two days of production.

The lawsuit accuses Mia Goth of battery and includes a wrongful termination claim against A24, Goth, and director Ti West. Hunter is seeking at least $500,000 in damages.
