Brier 2024: Saskatchewan Eyes First Title Since 1980 In Men's Curling Championship

The National Men’s Curling Championship, Brier 2024, kicks off in Regina, Saskatchewan, with 18 teams vying for the title until March 10. Contenders include Alberta‘s Brendan Bottcher, Canada‘s Brad Gushue, Alberta’s Kevin Koe, and Manitoba‘s Matt Dunstone.

Saskatchewan’s team, led by skip Mike McEwen with teammates Colton Flash, Kevin Marsh, and Daniel Marsh, faces tough matchups ahead. They start against Prince Edward Island, followed by defending champions Brad Gushue’s Team Canada and Kevin Koe’s Alberta.

Five-time Brier winner Brad Gushue eyes another victory to equal Randy Ferbey’s record. With Olympic gold and bronze medals, and a World Championship, Gushue’s experience is unmatched.

Quebec’s team, led by skip Julien Tremblay, is another to watch. Their unique mix of players from various clubs sets them apart in the competition.
