LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The highly anticipated mid-season update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, titled Season 02 Reloaded, launches on February 20 at 9 AM PT, introducing a host of new content including a collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). Players can expect new multiplayer maps, weapons, game modes, and fresh perks to enhance gameplay.

Among the standout features of this update are two new multiplayer maps: Grind Ooze, a variant of the beloved skatepark first introduced in Black Ops II, and Bullet Strike, set within the confines of a speeding train. Players can show off their combat skills in Grind’s Half Pipe and Cradle or take the fight up top as the Bullet Strike map tests their agility and strategy.

The collaboration with TMNT introduces a short-lived Moshpit mode, allowing players to unleash special ninja abilities and Scorestreaks inspired by the turtles’ combat skills. Players can engage in Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint while leveraging unique abilities tailored to each character.

“This collaboration allows players to experience the powerful abilities of their favorite turtles in a familiar setting,” said a spokesperson for Activision. “Players can team up to defeat enemies using their newly acquired TMNT skills as they enter battle in a vibrant skatepark adorned with turtle-themed decorations.”

Included in this update are the Hunter’s Instinct Perk, which marks the next target for elimination after an enemy is downed, and the Flyswatter Wildcard, enabling players to swap their melee weapon for a launcher. Additionally, six new weapons will be made available, including melee options such as the Nunchaku and the Bo Staff, both iconic weapons associated with TMNT.

The update also aims to enhance the Zombies experience. The Directed Mode arrives for The Tomb, giving players added guidance and cap limitations when undertaking the Main Quest. Activision is emphasizing continued improvements to gameplay, addressing quality-of-life issues, and solving ongoing bugs.

The company has also scheduled limited-time events tied to the TMNT update, running from February 27 to March 13. Players engaging in multiplayer games during this period can earn new Operator Skins and additional themed rewards inspired by the turtles.

In conjunction with the TMNT collaboration, Activision will celebrate both Black History Month and Women’s History Month with free gift packs featuring exclusive in-game items. According to the latest communications from the developers, players can expect new challenges, rewards, and limited-time modes to keep the gameplay fresh.

With the introduction of the Call of Duty Recon Squad, players can now provide feedback on updates and seasonal content while earning in-game rewards for their participation in community discussions. The program represents a novel approach from the developers to encourage player interaction and improve the gaming experience.

As the release date approaches, anticipation builds among fans eager to explore the new content. With various updates and enhancements on the horizon, Season 02 Reloaded promises to maintain the momentum for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and its player base.
