Clementine’s Journey Concludes: Final Volume of The Walking Dead Spinoff Announced

In a significant development for fans of The Walking Dead, the third and final volume of Tillie Walden’s acclaimed spin-off series, Clementine Book Three, has been announced. This conclusion to the story of Clementine, a character first introduced in Telltale‘s The Walking Dead video game series, is set to be published in June 2025 by Image/Skybound.

Clementine Book Three promises a “heart-wrenching finale” as it wraps up the narrative of the young survivor. According to the synopsis, Clementine has finally found a safe place to live, a girlfriend, and even a cat. However, her tranquility is short-lived as she faces a loss unlike anything she has ever experienced before. A new mentor, known as The Gardener, offers her a new family and a new way of living, but at a significant cost.

Tillie Walden, who has written and drawn the entire series, has been praised for breathing new life into Clementine’s character. Alex Antone, editorial director at Skybound, expressed his admiration for Walden’s work, stating that the final book “absolutely decimated me in the best possible way”.

Clementine Book Three will be available in comic shops on June 25, 2025, and digitally as well as in bookshops on July 8, 2025. This conclusion marks the end of a journey that began in 2012 with the first episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead game and continued into comics in 2021 with Skybound X: Clementine Lives!.
