Law & Order Organized Crime Season 5 Trailer

NEW YORK CITY, New York — Fans of the hit series “Law & Order: Organized Crime” can finally mark their calendars; the fifth season will premiere on April 17, 2025, exclusively on Peacock following its transition from NBC.

The first two episodes will stream on launch day, with the remaining eight episodes released weekly. This move marks a significant shift for the franchise, as this season is the first to air primarily on streaming since “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” transitioned to the USA Network in 2007.

The season synopsis promises to delve into complex themes such as cross-border smuggling and high-tech domestic terrorism. The storyline will also revisit events from Stabler’s tenure in Rome, where he dealt with a crime family looking for vengeance against him.

“This fight has only just begun,” Elliot Stabler, portrayed by Christopher Meloni, proclaims in a teaser trailer released by Peacock. The trailer showcases Stabler navigating dangerous situations, including a scene where he appears in peril from an oncoming vehicle.

In Season Five, Stabler will rely on his brother, Randall Stabler, played by Dean Norris, to manage family affairs while he tackles criminal investigations. “As his worlds collide, Stabler will put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice,” reads the season summary.

Returning cast members include Danielle Moné Truitt as Sgt. Ayanna Bell, Rick Gonzalez as Det. Bobby Reyes, and Ainsley Seiger as Det. Jet Slootmaekers. According to the press release, Olivia Thirlby and Jason Patric will join the cast in recurring roles.

Notably, Meloni himself revealed that he wrote an episode for the upcoming season, and Mariska Hargitay’s character, Olivia Benson, will guest star. “Oh, girlfriend’s coming on,” he declared. Hargitay later described the experience of acting in Meloni’s episode as “so good” and praised his “daring” writing approach.

Season Five of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” consists of ten one-hour episodes, which will continue exploring the intricate dynamics of organized crime in New York City. With the franchise’s loyal audience, the show expects to maintain its gripping narrative style while adapting to its new streaming format.

Viewers can catch up with all previous seasons of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” on Peacock, offering subscriptions at $7.99 per month with ads or $13.99 per month without ads and with download options. This pricing structure allows fans flexibility in how they consume the series.

As anticipation builds for the new season, it remains to be seen how Stabler’s family drama will intertwine with his professional life and the pressing criminal challenges ahead.
