The Euro Cup 2024, one of the most prestigious football tournaments in the world, has commenced. Following the FIFA World Cup, Euro is the most anticipated tournament in European football. According to the Indian standard time, the tournament began on Friday midnight and promises to be a thrilling event for football enthusiasts.

In Munich, the final match in Group E is taking place, with Germany facing off against Scotland. Germany is hosting Euro 2024, welcoming teams from various European nations to compete for the championship.

Established in 1960, the Euro Cup has seen Germany, Spain, and Italy emerge victoriously multiple times. The tournament is broadcast live in India on the Sony Sports Network.

This 17th edition of the Euro Cup is being hosted by Germany. From June 14 to July 14, a total of 51 matches will be held across 10 cities. The tournament features 24 teams divided into 6 groups, vying for the top spots in the group stage.

After the group stage, the top 2 teams from each group will advance, along with 4 best third-placed teams, to compete in the round of 16. Subsequently, the tournament progresses through the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals to determine the ultimate champion.

Following the absence of Russia due to war with Ukraine, the Euro Cup is being managed by the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament originally scheduled in 2020 was postponed to 2021. Italy clinched the title in the delayed edition.

Simultaneously, the Copa America tournament kicks off in America on June 20, adding to the excitement of football fans globally.
