Felix Auger-Aliassime Faces Thiago Seyboth Wild at ATP Rome

ROME, Italy — Felix Auger-Aliassime is set to battle Thiago Seyboth Wild in the round of 64 at the ATP Italian Open on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM ET.
According to Dimers‘ tennis prediction model, Auger-Aliassime is favored to win, boasting a 60% chance of victory based on 10,000 simulations. Dimers data analyst Greg Butyn stated, “We have used the latest data to run simulations of the match, estimating that Auger-Aliassime has a higher probability of winning compared to Seyboth Wild.”
Auger-Aliassime, currently ranked as the 26th seed, started the year strong with titles in Adelaide and Montpellier but has struggled recently, winning just one of his last six matches. He aims to regain his form after early exits in previous clay tournaments, including Monte-Carlo and Madrid.
In contrast, the unseeded Seyboth Wild has primarily competed on the Challenger circuit this year, but made his way into the main draw of the Italian Open after defeating Pierluigi Basile and Jesper de Jong. He won his first match against Nuno Borges, showcasing his capability on clay.
This encounter marks the first official meeting between Auger-Aliassime and Seyboth Wild on the ATP Tour. The betting odds currently favor Auger-Aliassime, at -152 on the moneyline, while Seyboth Wild sits at +120.
As the match approaches, attention will be on whether Auger-Aliassime can regain his early-season form, while Seyboth Wild seeks to capitalize on his recent successes in Rome.
