India’s Olympic Journey Begins with Exciting Matches on July 27, 2024
The excitement is building as the Indian athletes gear up for a thrilling day at the Paris Olympics on July 27, 2024. The schedule is packed with key matches and events that could help India get its medal tally started.
First up in the badminton arena, Lakshya Sen will face Guatemala‘s Kevin Cordon in a men’s singles group match at 7:10 PM IST. Not far behind, the men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on the French duo of Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar at 8 PM IST.
In the women’s doubles, Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto have a challenging match against the Korean pair of Kim So Yeong and Kong Hee Yong, scheduled for 11:50 PM IST. The spotlight will also be on boxer Preeti Pawar who’s set to compete against Thi Kim Anh Vo from Vietnam in the women’s 54kg category at 12:05 AM IST on July 28.
The Indian men’s hockey team, led by Harmanpreet Singh, is ready for its Pool B opener at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium, where they will take on New Zealand at 9 PM IST.
