Italy‘s national football team, under the leadership of Luciano Spalletti, clinched a spot in the round of 16 at the UEFA Euro Championship 2024 after a dramatic late goal against Croatia. In the upcoming Round of 16 match, Switzerland, led by coach Murat Yakin, will face Italy in Berlin. Switzerland secured their place in this stage after finishing second in their group behind Germany.

Switzerland will be without Silvan Widmer, who is suspended for the match against Italy. His absence will be filled by Leonidas Stergiou alongside key players like Breel Embolo, Ruben Vargas, and Dan Ndoye.
