Roma made their way to Bergamo for a crucial Serie A encounter with Atalanta, missing the services of their star player, Paulo Dybala. The absence of Dybala is a significant setback for the Giallorossi, especially following their recent Europa League exit. However, in Dybala’s place, Tommaso Baldanzi is set to start alongside Romelu Lukaku and Stephan El Shaarawy in the attack.

Over in the midfield, Atalanta is expected to stick with its usual attacking formation, with Gianluca Scamacca leading the line alongside Charles De Ketelaere, Teun Koopmeiners, and Mario Pasalic providing the support. On the other hand, Roma will deploy its preferred midfield trio of Lorenzo Pellegrini, Leandro Paredes, and Bryan Cristante to control the midfield battle.

Defensively, Roma will have to make adjustments with Leonardo Spinazzola out due to injury. This shift sees Angeliño starting at left-back and Rasmus Kristensen on the right side of defense. The center-back pairing of Ndicka and Gianluca Mancini is expected, with Chris Smalling likely to feature as well.

If Roma fails to secure a win, Atalanta could cement their place in the Champions League race. The clash at the Gewiss Stadium is pivotal for both teams as they look to secure fifth place in the Serie A standings.
