Jennifer Lawrence Spotted in NYC Amid Pregnancy Rumors

NEW YORK CITY — Jennifer Lawrence was seen on a casual outing in New York City on March 16, as rumors swirl around her potential recent birth of her second child with husband Cooke Maroney. The Oscar-winning actress, 34, opted for a stylish navy wool coat over a black turtleneck and jeans, accessorizing her look with a leopard print purse.
Lawrence, who sported her iconic blonde hair loose and with bangs, seemed relaxed while holding onto Maroney’s arm. The couple, who also share a two-year-old son, Cy, stepped out dressed for the cool spring weather. Maroney, 40, complemented her look with a grey crew neck and green pants.
This sighting comes five months after a representative for Lawrence confirmed her pregnancy, revealing the news to Vogue in October 2024. The actress was last spotted with a visible baby bump during a dinner in Los Angeles, prompting speculation about her due date, which was believed to be this spring.
Despite her high-profile career, Lawrence has expressed a desire to maintain her family’s privacy, particularly regarding her children. “If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, ‘Oh, my God, you’re expecting a baby,’ I wouldn’t be like, ‘Get away from me!’ But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives,” she said in a previous interview.
Reflecting on motherhood, Lawrence has shared that her experience of becoming a parent has transformed her life. “The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over,” she commented in an interview with Vogue in 2022. “Like, now is day one of my life. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere.”
Lawrence and Maroney, who married in October 2019, have made public appearances while largely keeping their family life out of the spotlight. Lawrence has described her relationship with Maroney as deepening after becoming parents, noting that her heart has expanded in ways she never anticipated.
As Lawrence prepares for motherhood again, she is also gearing up to promote her new film, “Die My Love,” which explores themes surrounding postpartum depression. Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the film is set to premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and features co-stars like Robert Pattinson and LaKeith Stanfield.
“It’s about mental health…and the breakdown of a marriage. But it’s really funny,” Ramsay noted about the film’s serious yet humorous tone. Lawrence’s commitment to portraying complex characters reflects her dedication to her craft, even as she balances her family life.
