Pop sensation Katy Perry surprised fans and fashion enthusiasts alike as she made her runway debut at Vogue magazine’s third annual Vogue World: Paris event. The star-studded gathering at the iconic Place Vendôme brought together over 500 major celebrities from around the world to celebrate 100 years of French style.

Before gracing the catwalk, Perry received coaching from musician FKA Twigs and supermodel Cara Delevingne. FKA Twigs advised Perry to bring out a different persona, emphasizing the need for a confident and fierce attitude. The term ‘C-word’ was used to express the desired characteristics, and Perry humorously quipped about her pop star image.

As Perry practiced her runway walk with pointers from FKA Twigs and Delevingne, fans eagerly awaited her debut. The trio shared a light-hearted moment, with Perry showcasing her model strut to accolades from her coaches.

Throughout the event, Perry turned heads in a stunning Noir Kei Ninomiya gown, creating a striking nude illusion on the runway. The event paid tribute to the styles of the 1980s, with models flaunting designs from renowned labels such as Saint Laurent, Junya Watanabe, and Comme des Garçons.

In addition to Perry’s runway appearance, other highlights included supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid making a grand entrance on horseback, adding to the spectacle at the celebration of a century of French fashion. The event featured diverse elements such as a martial arts tribute with professional judokas and karatekas, along with a performance by the Paris-based Japanese drum group Nika Taiko.
