Rb Leipzig Coach Zsolt Löw Press Conference

LEIPZIG, Germany — RB Leipzig’s coach Zsolt Löw faces a tough situation as he prepares for a crucial Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen on Saturday at 3:30 PM. The team has been hit hard with injuries and suspensions.

Löw confirmed on Friday that both David Raum and Kevin Kampl will miss the game due to suspensions after receiving their fifth yellow cards during the previous match against Bayern Munich, which ended in a 3-3 draw. Additionally, Amadou Haidara is out for the season after suffering a knee injury during training on Tuesday.

To fill these gaps, Löw plans to bring in Arthur Vermeeren and Nicolas Seiwald. “The match is too important to experiment. Arthur is the obvious solution. He is in good form, and we have trust in him,” said Löw.

In a bit of positive news for Leipzig, goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi will return to the squad after recovering from a concussion sustained during the game against Kiel. “Pete Gulacsi is fit again. We have received the green light from the doctors,” Löw stated. However, he has not disclosed who will start in goal on Saturday.

This match is crucial for both teams as they vie for European qualification. Leipzig sits in sixth place with 50 points, while Bremen is eighth with 47 points. “We want to win the last two matches to secure a Champions League spot; that is our clear goal,” Löw emphasized.

He also warned about the strong atmosphere at the Weser Stadium, highlighting the challenge that Bremen presents. Leipzig is currently two points behind Freiburg, who occupy the fourth Champions League spot, and face relegation-threatened Kiel on the same day.
