Nba Draft Predictions 2025

NEW YORK, NY — With the NBA draft lottery approaching, Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman has released his latest two-round mock draft, outlining potential team selections and key prospects. The draft order is based on simulated lottery results.

The Charlotte Hornets secured the top pick, which positions them as favorites to draft highly touted prospect Cooper Flagg. This marks an opportunity for Charlotte to infuse new talent alongside their existing young core of LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller, who have struggled to translate potential into wins, largely due to injuries.

“Cooper Flagg is the kind of player who can significantly change a team’s trajectory,” Wasserman stated. He added that Flagg’s athleticism and versatility would enhance Charlotte’s overall competitiveness.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers, projected to select second, face a critical decision. With potential changes in their roster dynamics due to Joel Embiid’s health and Paul George‘s performance, they may look to maximize immediate impact rather than strictly adhering to positional needs. Top prospects include Dylan Harper and Derik Queen, both of whom could bolster Philadelphia’s depth.

At third overall, the Brooklyn Nets are contending with a crowded draft landscape. With a chance of selecting Jeremiah Fears or exploring options like VJ Edgecombe, the Nets are focusing on rebuilding without immediate positional needs affecting their choices.

The Utah Jazz, despite finishing with the league’s worst record, were noted for needing to prioritize evaluation of their young players over immediate fits, eyeing Ace Bailey as a solid choice at fourth overall.

As the draft continues to draw near, potential impacts from incoming NIL deals are also a factor—many underclassmen might opt to stay in college instead of testing the draft waters.

With the NBA combine scheduled for mid-May, teams will have another chance to evaluate prospects before finalizing their draft boards.

The draft is set for June 25, followed by the second round on June 26.
