2024 NFL Playoff Schedule: Dates, Times, and TV for Every Round of NFC and AFC Postseason
The highly anticipated 2024 NFL playoffs have finally arrived, featuring both familiar faces and new blood. Among this year’s playoff teams are perennial contenders like the 49ers, Chiefs, and Cowboys, as well as three teams that have never before reached the postseason: the Houston, Cleveland, and Detroit. In an intriguing twist, the Lions will be hosting their first playoff game in 30 years and will face their former quarterback, Matthew Stafford, who now leads the Los Angeles team. This matchup marks the first time in playoff history that both starting quarterbacks are facing their former team. The game between the Lions and Rams will be broadcasted on NBC on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.
This year’s playoffs also bring a rare occurrence in the NFL: a postponed game. Due to inclement weather in Western New York, the matchup between the Bills and Steelers was rescheduled from Sunday to Monday. In addition to that change, the rest of the 2024 NFL playoff schedule is as follows:
The NFC teams advancing to the divisional round are the 49ers, while the AFC divisional round will feature the Ravens, Texans, and Chiefs. Notably, the team with the best record in the NFC, the Packers, will face the lowest seed in the divisional round. In the AFC, the Ravens will host either the Steelers or Texans, depending on the outcome of the Steelers vs. Bills game. If the Steelers win, they will face Baltimore, but if the Bills win, Houston will be the visiting team. The winners of the Monday matchups will play on Sunday in the divisional round.
The AFC Championship is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 28, at 3 p.m. ET, and will be televised on CBS. The NFC Championship will follow at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox. Finally, on Sunday, Feb. 11, the AFC and NFC champions will meet in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, which will be televised on CBS, with an alternate broadcast available on Nickelodeon. Viewers can also stream the game on Paramount+.
