Players Era Festival College Basketball Tournament Las Vegas

The Players Era Festival, a prominent college basketball tournament, is underway in Las Vegas, featuring some of the nation’s top men’s basketball teams. The tournament, held during the Thanksgiving week, includes eight teams divided into two groups: the Impact Group and the Power Group. Alabama, Houston, Notre Dame, and Rutgers comprise the Impact Group, while Creighton, Oregon, San Diego State, and Texas A&M make up the Power Group.

The tournament began on Tuesday, November 26, with a series of matchups broadcast on TBS and streamed on Sling. Key games included San Diego State vs. Creighton, Oregon vs. Texas A&M, and a highly anticipated matchup between Houston and Alabama. Wednesday’s schedule saw further intense competition, with games aired on TBS, TNT, and exclusively streamed on Max for some matchups.

In a thrilling game on Wednesday night, No. 9 Alabama survived a scare from Rutgers, winning 95-90 at the MGM Grand Garden. Mark Sears led the Crimson Tide with 24 points, while Grant Nelson contributed 17 points and nine rebounds. Rutgers’ Dylan Harper, son of NBA champion Ron Harper Sr., scored a career-high 37 points but couldn’t secure the win for the Scarlet Knights.

Alabama’s victory advances them to the championship game against Oregon on Saturday, November 30. The final day of the tournament will feature a four-game slate, with matchups determined by the teams’ overall records after the group stage. Games will be broadcast on truTV and TNT, with live streams available on Sling.
