RICHMOND, Va. — Rain showers are expected to linger throughout Monday, creating a chilly start to the week for residents in the area. High temperatures are forecasted to reach the upper 50s, while temperatures will drop into the low to mid-30s overnight.

According to the latest report from The Weather Authority, Tuesday and Wednesday will offer a reprieve as plenty of sunshine returns to the forecast. Highs are anticipated to climb to the upper 60s on Tuesday and mid-70s on Wednesday, presenting an ideal opportunity for outdoor activities.

However, meteorologists warn that a cold front is expected to arrive on Thursday, bringing with it scattered showers. This will be followed by a significant cool-down on Friday, with temperatures again expected to linger in the 50s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the forecast indicates variably cloudy conditions with a chance of showers later on Saturday and Saturday night. During the weekend, highs are expected to be in the 60s, with early morning lows dropping into the 30s on Saturday and the low 40s on Sunday.
