Robyn Dixon Predicts Jail Time for Karen Huger After DUI Conviction
POTOMAC, Md. — Former “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Robyn Dixon has weighed in on co-star Karen Huger‘s legal troubles, predicting jail time and strict penalties following Huger’s recent DUI conviction. Huger, known as the “Grand Dame” of the franchise, has been under scrutiny after incriminating body-cam footage surfaced from her arrest last year.
During an episode of her podcast “Reasonably Shady,” Dixon speculated that Huger could face 60 days in jail, a year-long driving ban, and community service. “I predict 60 days in jail, and then when she gets out, at least a year of not being able to drive, or blowing into the thing before you can drive,” Dixon said. Her co-host Gizelle Bryant added, “Yeah, or like community service, like let’s clean the highway.”
Huger’s legal woes began in March 2023 when she crashed her car into a tree and was arrested for driving under the influence. Body-cam footage from the arrest showed her slurring her words and insisting on preferential treatment, referring to herself as the “Grand Dame.” This was reportedly her fourth DUI, though the exact number remains unverified.
Dixon, who is sitting out the current season of the show, did not hold back in her criticism. “We also can’t have this happen again. Apparently, this is her 4th time? Her 4th DUI, I believe I heard,” she said. “This can’t happen again. It cannot. It can’t.”
Huger’s husband, Ray Huger, was seen in the footage attempting to calm her down during the arrest. Despite the controversy, he has remained supportive of his wife. Huger recently checked into rehab for alcohol addiction and substance abuse, though it is unclear whether this was court-ordered or voluntary.
Dixon also addressed Huger’s past claims of being vindicated, saying, “When I heard that she claimed she was going to be vindicated, I was like, if this is being vindicated, I don’t want to see what guilty is.” Bryant added, “You can’t do what she did and walk away scot-free.”
Huger’s sentencing is scheduled for January 29. Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting the outcome, with many speculating whether she will take a break from the series to focus on her recovery and legal obligations.
