Ronaldo To Miss Inter Miami Clash As Messi's Al Nassr Aim To Finish Strong

Major League Soccer (MLS) team Inter Miami will be looking to end their participation in the Riyadh Season Cup 2024 on a high note when they take on Saudi Pro League‘s Al Nassr at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on Thursday.

The highly anticipated clash between Lionel Messi‘s Inter Miami and Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Al Nassr will not see the two superstars facing off, as Ronaldo has been ruled out of the match due to a muscle injury in his left calf. The news was confirmed by Al Nassr’s club officials.

The Riyadh Season Cup 2024 is a friendly invitational tournament. For Inter Miami, it serves as a pre-season friendly tour as they prepare for the 2024 MLS season. On the other hand, Al Nassr is competing in the middle of their league season, with the Saudi Pro League currently on a break.

Inter Miami faced the third team in the Riyadh Season Cup, Al-Hilal, in their previous match. While Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi featured in Inter Miami’s lineup, they suffered a narrow defeat with the match ending 4-3 in Al-Hilal’s favor. Suarez scored Inter Miami’s first goal, and Messi converted a penalty in the second half.

Al Nassr, currently placed second in the Saudi Pro League 2023-24, will face Al-Hilal in the final match of the Riyadh Season Cup on February 8, while Inter Miami will head to Hong Kong, China, for a match against Hong Kong League XI.

In India, the Al Nassr vs. Inter Miami match will be available for live streaming on Apple TV+ through the MLS Pass subscription. However, there won’t be any live telecast of the match on any television channel in the country.
