Snowstorm Causes Disruptions in Grand River Transit Bus Services
Winter weather has disrupted several bus routes operated by Grand River Transit in Kitchener. The transit agency reported delays and detours due to the ongoing snowstorm hitting the region.
Forecasts had initially predicted significant snowfall ranging from five to 15 centimeters throughout the day on Thursday. These weather conditions prompted GRT to issue alerts regarding service changes.
While an initial message indicated a severe weather alert and potential service disruptions, GRT later clarified that this information was sent out in error. As of now, all buses are operational, albeit facing some delays and detours.
Passengers are advised to monitor updates on Grand River Transit’s website or contact customer service for real-time information on bus schedules and routes.
