South Carolina Gamecocks Face Clemson in Palmetto Series Showdown
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks are set to host the Clemson Tigers in the SC Education Lottery Palmetto Series on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena. The game will air live on ESPN2.
The Gamecocks (2-0) have dominated their early season matchups, winning their first two games by an average of over 53 points. They are coming off a commanding 114-47 victory over Bowling Green, during which Joyce Edwards scored 24 points and Madina Okot registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
South Carolina’s head coach Dawn Staley praised the performance of her players, specifically mentioning the impact of freshmen Ayla McDowell and Agot Makeer. Staley highlighted their intelligence and contributions to the team, stating, “I think whether we had a full roster or not they would play because they’re smart.”
In this matchup against Clemson (2-0), the Gamecocks are aiming for their 300th win at Colonial Life Arena, which opened in 2002. The rivalry dates back to the 1975-76 season when the Gamecocks began official intercollegiate women’s sports. Currently, South Carolina leads the series 36-33, thanks to a 14-game winning streak.
