Italy‘s football icon Giorgio Chiellini humorously recreated his infamous foul on Bukayo Saka with former England legend Rio Ferdinand ahead of the Euros final. The Euro 2020 winner is currently in Berlin to witness the much-anticipated event.

Chiellini has first-hand experience in facing England in major finals, having secured the Euros triumph three years ago. However, as he paraded the trophy onto the pitch before kick-off, he was met with boos from the Three Lions supporters.

The retired centre-back, who concluded his football career in December following a stint with MLS outfit LAFC, played a pivotal role in Italy‘s victory over England in 2021, with a memorable incident involving Saka etched in fans’ memories.

Chiellini, known for his tenacity, cunningly halted Saka‘s spirited run by clutching the youngster’s shirt before executing a sly maneuver. This move ultimately thwarted Saka‘s potential breakthrough, setting the stage for Italy‘s success in the match.

Despite the seriousness of the on-field incident, Chiellini displayed a lighter side as he recreated the iconic grab alongside former England star and BBC pundit Ferdinand. With Ferdinand pulling a comical expression, Chiellini couldn’t resist a broad grin, reminiscing the now-famous moment.
