Todd and Julie Chrisley Released from Prison Following Presidential Pardons

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley are back home after being released from federal prison due to presidential pardons signed by former President Donald Trump. Todd, 57, was freed from Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, while Julie, 52, was released from Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky.
The couple, known for their reality show ‘Chrisley Knows Best,’ were convicted in 2022 of bank fraud and tax evasion. They were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison and ordered to pay nearly $18 million in restitution. Both had served approximately two and a half years of their sentences before receiving pardons on May 27, 2025.
On Thursday, Savannah Chrisley, their daughter, was seen smiling as she left a butcher shop in Nashville. Earlier that day, she had shared an emotional moment on social media, featuring a photo of her parents reunited, captioned, ‘Reunited and it feels so good.’ Savannah expressed gratitude for her father’s release, stating, ‘Honestly, this process has been absolutely insane.’
Following the pardon, Savannah arrived at the Pensacola prison to greet her father. She described the experience as surreal, saying, ‘I woke up this morning and thought, “This is really real. I’m home.”’ She thanked Trump, associating the pardon with a deeper examination of her parents’ case, which she claims involved prosecutorial misconduct.
Todd Chrisley thanked God, Trump, and his daughter for their support. In a press conference, he maintained his innocence, stating he feels no remorse for the conviction. ‘I didn’t do anything that would require remorse,’ he said.
As they transition back to normal life, the Chrisleys are also planning to return to television. They have announced a new show on Lifetime that will document their legal struggles and journey after prison. Todd expressed excitement, stating, ‘We’re blessed to have our family back, and we look forward to sharing our story.’
