Tottenham Hotspur gear up for Crystal Palace clash after lengthy break
After a period without action, Tottenham Hotspur is gearing up to face Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following their break. Ange Postecoglou will be looking for his side to come back with fresh legs and minds to take on the visiting team.
Spurs have been out of the FA Cup and had a postponed fixture with Chelsea, making this their first match since falling to Wolves earlier in February. The squad enjoys a near full complement of healthy players, with the return of James Maddison and key players like Heung-min Son, Pape Sarr, and Yves Bissouma from AFCON and the Asian Cup. However, injuries to Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie continue to deplete their fullback options.
Crystal Palace has collected four of six points since Roy Hodgson‘s departure, with draws against Everton and Burnley. However, the task of facing Postecoglou’s revamped Spurs will be a tougher challenge for the Eagles.
Key absences for Spurs include Richarlison, Manor Solomon, Ryan Sessegnon, and Fraser Forster, while there are lingering doubts over the availability of Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro. On the other side, Michael Olise, Rob Holding, Cheick Doucoure, Marc Guehi, and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi are unlikely to feature for Palace.
