Travis Head Makes Record Debut For Sunrisers Hyderabad Against Mumbai Indians

Australia’s Travis Head made a phenomenal debut for SunRisers Hyderabad in their recent match against Mumbai Indians, setting a new record for the fastest half-century by a SRH player.

The left-handed opener achieved this milestone in just 18 balls, surpassing the previous record held by David Warner and Moises Henriques in earlier IPL seasons.

Head’s explosive innings propelled SRH to a strong start, scoring 62 runs off 24 deliveries, showcasing a blend of audacious strokeplay that included nine boundaries and three towering sixes.

In the match held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Head’s partnership with fellow opener Mayank Agarwal and middle-order batsman Abhishek Sharma proved to be destructive for the Mumbai Indians bowlers.

The decision to bowl first by Mumbai Indians’ skipper, Hardik Pandya, backfired as Head, along with his partners, mercilessly attacked the MI bowlers, particularly dominating young pacer Kwena Maphaka in the initial overs.
