UFL Week 5: Road Teams Battle for Playoff Position

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Week 5 of the United Football League (UFL) season is underway as teams compete for playoff positioning. On Friday night, the Birmingham Stallions face the Memphis Showboats at 8:00 p.m. ET at The Dome at America’s Center.
The Stallions (3-1) are looking to extend their winning streak to four games after a close victory against the Houston Roughnecks last week. In contrast, the Showboats (0-4) remain winless following a tough 27-9 loss to the Michigan Panthers.
Despite their struggles, Memphis will aim to improve their offensive output, which has averaged just 150 total yards per game so far. The Showboats will be without one of their starting linebackers, complicating their defensive efforts. Meanwhile, Birmingham will rely on backup quarterback Case Cookus, following injuries to their starters.
In other matchups this weekend, the Michigan Panthers will face the St. Louis Battlehawks on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Panthers come into the game with a strong offensive record, leading the league in scoring while the Battlehawks, struggling with injuries, aim to recapture their early-season form.
On Sunday, the D.C. Defenders will take on the Arlington Renegades at noon ET, followed by the Houston Roughnecks versus the San Antonio Brahmas at 3:00 p.m. ET. The Defenders, who suffered their first loss of the season last week, hope to bounce back, while the Renegades’ defense has proven tough, restricting opponents to an average of just 10.8 points per game.
As the season progresses, every game is crucial for playoff implications. UFL fans can follow live coverage and updates across various platforms.
