Virginia’s Amanda Sambach Leads at Pan-Pacific UGSL Tournament

JapanVirginia senior, Amanda Sambach, displayed an outstanding performance during the second round of the Pan-Pacific UGSL Tournament, shooting a remarkable 6-under 66. Her stellar play brought her total score to 11-under 133, placing her at the top of the individual standings.

During the second round, Sambach recorded six birdies, contributing significantly to her team’s overall success. The Cavaliers maintained their position in first place, concluding the round with a 36-hole score of 3-over 291.

In the individual standings, Kennedy Swedick is tied for eighth place at 144 after posting a 71 in the second round. Meanwhile, Jaclyn LaHa and Chloe Schiavone are tied for 27th at 150 following rounds of 77. Megan Propeck currently stands tied for 55th after shooting a score of 78.

Amanda Black, competing as an individual, moved up to tie for 17th place with a score of 73 in her second round. Maggie Whitehead is tied for 33rd after a round of 75, while Kiera Bartholomew is tied for 47th with a score of 74.

The Pan-Pacific UGSL Tournament features a mixed competition, with separate team standings for men and women. The final round is scheduled to begin on Thursday night, September 5, with results expected to be available on VirginiaSports.com on the following morning.
