WWE Releases and Rumors Spark Speculation Ahead of SmackDown

Tulsa, Oklahoma — Several WWE talents, including Chelsea Green and Shotzi, fueled rumors of potential releases via cryptic social media posts on Friday. However, sources indicate that these individuals will not be leaving the company anytime soon.
Reports emerged that Chelsea Green had posted a farewell message on X (formerly Twitter), tagging WWE. Her post hinted at significant changes, stating, “This is my farewell address,” accompanied by an American flag and a saluting emoji. Despite this, Fightful reported that there are no plans for her removal from television, as she is scheduled to appear in Friday’s ‘SmackDown’ tapings.
Shotzi also contributed to the speculation with a mysterious post suggesting, “Whatever happens next, I’m ready for it. Stay ballsy my friends,” along with a heart emoji. Her emotional promo had garnered positive feedback from industry insiders, showing her dedication to her craft.
Austin Theory shared a post addressing his struggles but reaffirming his belief in himself. According to sources, there was confusion in WWE about the intent behind his message, as he remains part of the roster.
In contrast, reports confirmed the release of several notable talent from WWE, including Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, and Shayna Baszler. Dakota Kai reportedly expressed her longing for the wrestling world in a now-deleted post on X, clarifying that she is not injured.
Strowman’s last appearance was during ‘SmackDown’ on April 18, losing to Jacob Fatu. Baszler has also seen reduced activity on WWE television, competing minimally since February.
As the dust settles, speculation grows on the implications of these releases, with impatience building among fans for future developments regarding WWE’s roster.
