Youngboy Never Broke Again Pardon Announcement

Washington, D.C. — On Wednesday, President Donald Trump granted a pardon to rapper Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, widely known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again. The White House confirmed the news via email, noting that YoungBoy was among several individuals receiving clemency.

YoungBoy, 25, expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt social media statement, saying, “I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building – as a man, as a father, and as an artist. This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for, and I am fully prepared to step into this.”

The rapper, originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has had a tumultuous legal history, including a recent federal conviction for firearm possession as a felon. His sentencing included 23 months in federal prison and additional supervised probation, following an arrest that occurred while filming a music video in 2020.

In his statement, YoungBoy also thanked Pardon Czar Alice Marie Johnson and his attorney Brittany K. Barnett for their support. “Big thanks to everyone who believed in me. I’m grateful. I’m focused. I’m ready,” he added.

Despite his legal challenges, YoungBoy continues to be a prominent figure in the music industry, known for his emotionally charged tracks and consistent output. Following his release, he is set to embark on a 27-city concert tour named the Make America Smile Again (MASA) Tour, which begins on September 2 in Dallas.

This latest tour is seen as an homage to Trump, reflecting both his message of gratitude and a new chapter in his life after incarceration.
