Fayetteville, Ark. — The No. 24 Oklahoma State softball team defeated No. 3 Indiana, 11-6, on Friday at Bogle Park, thanks to a seven-run sixth inning. This victory marked OSU’s 16th consecutive win in NCAA Regional play since 2019.

Oklahoma State trailed by as many as four runs, falling behind in the fourth inning. The Cowgirls did not secure a lead until the pivotal sixth inning. Karli Godwin played a crucial role, hitting two home runs and finishing the game with three hits and five RBIs.

The game’s turning point came when pinch hitter Tatum Benge singled to right field, scoring a runner from second to level the score at 6-6. Shortly after, a ground ball by another Cowgirl brought in the go-ahead run. This was followed by a sacrifice bunt and an additional RBI single, culminating in a bases-loaded walk, making the score 11-6.

The seventh-run rally was the highest total in a single inning for Oklahoma State this season, highlighting their offensive resurgence. With this win, the Cowgirls improved their record to 34-18, while Indiana fell to 33-19.

Rylee Crandall, who entered the game in the fourth inning, picked up the win, improving her record to 6-4. She successfully held the Indiana offense scoreless in the final three innings. Brianna Copeland took the loss for Indiana, dropping to 17-9.
