AEW Collision’s Beach Break Episode Faces Airing Issues on TNT

CHICAGO, Illinois — Tonight’s special edition of AEW Collision, titled Beach Break, did not air in its entirety on TNT East due to technical difficulties. Fans can catch the full episode starting at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on TNT West and the TNT app. The show will also be available on MAX.
Prior to the airing issues, AEW Collision returned to the NOW Arena in Chicago at 8 p.m. ET. With the Double or Nothing event just a week away, the stakes were high as contenders for titles were determined, and rivalries intensified in a tribute to Chicago sports legend Steve McMichael.
The AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Hurt Syndicate, local fans set their sights on competition. This past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, the ROH World Tag Team Champions, Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, known as The Sons of Texas, and CRU members Action Andretti and Lio Rush responded to The Hurt Syndicate’s challenge. They faced off to determine who would challenge for the tag team titles at Double or Nothing.
In a brutal Chicago Street Fight, The Learning Tree, featuring Bryan Keith and Big Bill, clashed with the Gates of Agony, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun, following previous altercations. With no disqualifications and an open environment for brawling throughout the arena, this matchup promised chaos and excitement.
Powerhouse Hobbs from The Opps faced Wheeler Yuta of The Death Riders. Both wrestlers bring different styles to the ring, with Hobbs showcasing his raw power opposite Yuta’s technical skills, each hoping to build momentum heading into the upcoming event.
Anna Jay was set to confront Megan Bayne after a series of confrontations beginning with Jay’s return to AEW on April 26. The tensions have intensified after Jay intervened to help Harley Cameron against Bayne’s attacks, and now she seeks revenge.
A six-man tag team bout featured ROH World Champion Bandido, Brody King, and Tomohiro Ishii battling The Don Callis Family’s Lance Archer, Trent Beretta, and Rocky Romero. This matchup followed a betrayal earlier in April when Romero joined forces with the Don Callis Family.
Additionally, Kyle Fletcher took on AR Fox in a match between two competitors renowned for their athleticism, while “Speedball” Mike Bailey faced Blake Christian, each man keen to make an impact in the AEW landscape.
Lastly, AEW dedicated a tribute to Steve McMichael, a revered sports icon who passed away on April 23, featuring appearances by prominent figures like Ric Flair and Tony Schiavone to celebrate his legacy.
