Denver Nuggets Oklahoma City Thunder Nba Playoffs

DENVER, CO — The Denver Nuggets rallied from a 12-point deficit to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-107 in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals on Thursday, forcing a decisive Game 7. The win came after a strong performance by Jamal Murray, who scored 28 points, and Nikola Jokic, who contributed 29 points and 14 rebounds.

The Nuggets’ victory was crucial after the Thunder had led the series 3-2. With the Game 7 set for Sunday, Denver will have a chance to advance to the Conference Finals for the first time in a decade.

“We showed a lot of heart tonight,” Murray said. “We knew we had to play with urgency, and we did just that.”

Jokic also played a significant role in the win, finishing just two assists shy of a triple-double. His ability to create plays was vital for the Nuggets, especially in a high-pressure situation.

Denver dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Thunder 52-40. The Nuggets secured 11 offensive rebounds, which head coach David Adelman attributed to the team’s effort and determination. “Rebounding was the key tonight. We wanted it more,” Adelman said.

On the other hand, the Thunder struggled to find consistent scoring outside of their star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who led all scorers with 32 points. Jalen Williams, who has been inconsistent, managed to finish with just six points on 3-for-16 shooting, leaving Oklahoma City wanting more from their supporting players.

“We simply didn’t execute down the stretch,” Williams noted after the game. “We need to step it up if we want to win on Sunday.”

The Game 7 matchup will take place in Oklahoma City, where the Thunder will rely on their home-court advantage. Both teams will be looking to secure a spot in the Conference Finals, with historic implications on the line.

“We know what’s at stake,” Murray added. “We’re ready for the challenge ahead.”
