NFL Unveils Prime-Time Matchups Ahead of 2025 Season

Kansas City, Missouri — The NFL has released its prime-time game schedule for the upcoming 2025 season, highlighting which teams fans can expect to see under the lights. The Kansas City Chiefs will lead the pack, slated for eight standalone appearances, including five in the first half of the season.
Fresh off a successful 2024 season, the Washington Commanders are also expected to shine, with at least five prime-time contests. This marks a significant rise for the team, which surprised many with their performance last year.
The Dallas Cowboys, long known as ‘America’s Team,’ will play six prime-time games despite missing the playoffs last season and changing coaches. Their popularity ensures they remain a staple in the league’s biggest time slots.
In contrast, other franchises face a more challenging fate. The Cleveland Browns, in the midst of a four-way quarterback battle, have zero evening games. However, they will play one standalone game in London during Week 5, placing them slightly ahead of the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans, both of which will not appear in any prime-time slots.
As anticipation builds for the season, the NFL is presenting a ranked list of its top ten prime-time matchups for 2025. Fans are advised to keep an eye on intriguing matchups, including a potentially historic showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers, contingent on a key player’s decision. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, if he joins the Steelers, would face his former team for the first time.
The league also released honorable mentions that include notable games such as the Chiefs vs. Chargers in São Paulo and Lions at Ravens on Monday night. As the summer rolls on, NFL enthusiasts will eagerly await the return of football season.
