Knicks Fans Ready for Epic Watch Parties in NYC

NEW YORK CITY, NY — Knicks fans are gearing up for a major celebration on Wednesday as the team prepares to face the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, a feat not achieved in 25 years. Excitement is palpable as watch parties spring up across the city, with bars decked out in the team’s iconic orange and blue.
Tickets for the official Knicks watch party at Radio City Music Hall are available for $10, with proceeds supporting the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Doors open at 7 p.m. However, fans should note that there will be no outdoor watch party outside Madison Square Garden (MSG) this time.
Over 20 bars in Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx, as well as some in nearby New Jersey, will broadcast the game, ensuring fans can catch every moment. Establishments like Goldie’s Tavern are enticing fans with free Goldie’s Lagers for those in Knicks jerseys, while Mustang Harry’s provides stress basketballs and drink specials.
Owner Andrew Neesley of The Gin Mill at 442 Amsterdam Ave. is confident in the energy expected on game night. ‘We’re going to be partying hard,’ he said, promising $6 cocktails and surprise offerings throughout the event.
Accessibility has made nearby Penn 6 a favorite spot for post-game celebrations. ‘It gets to be a huge vibe in here,’ manager Karrah Meyer shared, recalling how fans flooded the streets after the Knicks secured their playoff spot.
At Pig Beach in Astoria, a 30-foot jumbotron will amplify the festivities, enabling upwards of 2,000 fans to gather. ‘The enthusiasm of the fans is crazy,’ said GM Andrew Brennan.
As fans rally behind the Knicks, Gov. Kathy Hochul reminded them to exercise caution regarding ticket purchases, advising usage of trusted sources to avoid scams.
The Knicks clinched their finals spot after defeating the Boston Celtics, and there is an air of anticipation as they meet their long-time rivals in the Pacers. ‘It’s a storied rivalry,’ Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson remarked, setting the stage for a fierce competition.
Many fans have expressed their eagerness for the match-up and the hope of seeing the Knicks advance toward a potential NBA Finals appearance, a first since 1999. ‘This is the Knicks’ moment. It’s their time,’ said devoted fan Nilsa Rosada. ‘The city’s going to be on fire.’
Whether from the official watch party or local bars, fans across New York are ready to make history with their team.
