Softball Teams Gear Up for CIF-SS Semifinals on Saturday

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — The CIF Southern Section (CIF-SS) softball playoffs are heating up as teams prepare for the semifinals scheduled for Saturday, May 24. After an exciting round of quarterfinals on Wednesday, several teams have secured their spots for the next round.

Los Alamitos, Long Beach Poly, Warren, and Cerritos all advanced from Wednesday’s matches. Each team showcased strong performances, setting the stage for competitive semifinals. The semifinals will kick off at various locations, beginning at 3:15 p.m. in multiple divisions.

In the Division 1 quarterfinals, matchups include Chino Hills at Norco and Ayala at La Mirada. El Modena will face Notre Dame, while Etiwanda takes on Temescal Canyon. These matchups are critical, as teams vie for a chance to reach the championship.

Other notable games include California at Great Oak in Division 2 and Arlington set to compete against a yet-to-be-determined team from Valencia or Yorba Linda in Division 3. The anticipation builds as fans await the outcomes of these pivotal games.
