2025 ACC Baseball Tournament Kicks Off in Durham

Durham, North Carolina — The 2025 ACC baseball tournament begins on May 20 and continues through May 25 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Georgia Tech enters the tournament as the top seed, aiming for a title that guarantees a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
This year’s tournament features 16 teams, with top seeds Georgia Tech, Florida State, North Carolina, and NC State earning byes to the quarterfinals. The tournament format has been updated to a traditional single-elimination bracket for the first time, moving away from the previous pool play system.
The opening matchups will see No. 1 Georgia Tech face No. 16 California at 3 p.m. on May 20, followed by No. 4 NC State competing against No. 5 Clemson at 7 p.m. The tournament’s remaining games will showcase promising teams, including the defending champions Duke, who won the title in 2024.
Several ACC programs are currently ranked in the top 25 by D1Baseball.com. Both North Carolina and Florida State hold positions in the top 10, while Georgia Tech maintains the No. 1 seed with a record of 39-16.
