Al Ittihad Vs Damac Saudi Pro League

Jeddah, Saudi ArabiaAl Ittihad will close out their championship season against Damac on May 26, 2025, at King Abdullah Sports City Reserve Stadium. With the title already secured, Al Ittihad seeks to extend their current five-match winning streak before the upcoming King Cup of Champions final.

The Jeddah team clinched the Saudi Pro League title with a decisive 3-1 victory over Al Raed on matchday 32, their first domestic championship since the 2022-23 season. Under the leadership of coach Laurent Blanc, Al Ittihad has rebounded brilliantly, taking the top spot since matchday 19, capitalizing on rivals’ missteps throughout the season.

Key to the resurgence has been Karim Benzema, who has scored 21 goals and provided nine assists in 28 league appearances. However, he is currently sidelined with injuries, missing the last two games, which may impact the team’s offensive power.

Damac arrives in Jeddah already assured of their status in the top flight, currently sitting 14th in the league table with 35 points. Their performance has improved in the latter part of the season, highlighting the efforts of coach Abdulaziz Al-Atwi who took over in the final stretch.

Recent results have not favored Damac, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Al Fateh last week, showcasing their difficulties, especially away from home with only one win in the last nine matches. They will be looking to end their campaign on a positive note.

Injuries plague both teams; Damac’s left back Mohamed is suspended after being sent off against Al Fateh, while Al Ittihad also faces several key absences. Despite these challenges, Al Ittihad hopes to maintain momentum leading into the cup final.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM local time as Al Ittihad aims for a strong finish to an impressive season.
