Father-Daughter Duo’s Historic Match Ends in Controversy

Brampton, Canada – On May 29, 2025, Santino Marella and his daughter, Arianna Grace, made history in TNA by becoming the first father-daughter tag team to compete together. However, their moment was spoiled by Robert Stone‘s controversial actions during their match.
Originally slated to face Tessa Blanchard and Robert Stone, the team quickly changed after Blanchard was deemed medically unable to compete. Stone instead brought in Victoria Crawford as his partner, further complicating the match dynamic. Before the match began, Stone laid down three rules: a 10-minute time limit, banning Marella’s signature move, the Cobra, and assigning Alisha Edwards as a special enforcer to oversee the proceedings.
As the match commenced, the atmosphere was charged with tension. Despite the odds, Marella and Grace displayed remarkable teamwork, with Grace executing a flying crossbody that nearly secured a victory. However, the situation escalated when Stone interfered by pulling referee Jimmy Korderas out of the ring, causing chaos. This led to a sequence where Stone capitalized on the distraction, allowing Crawford to perform a Scissors Kick on Grace, pinning her for the win.
After the match, Marella expressed his frustration, stating, “I was ready to break the brick wall with the Cobra!” He challenged Stone to a singles match for control as Director of Authority. TNA officials have confirmed the match will occur at the Against All Odds event on June 6, 2025.
While Santino and Arianna celebrated their historic participation, the shadow cast by Robert Stone’s manipulation left fans questioning the integrity of the victory. Santino remains hopeful for a fair match in the future, with eyes set on not only reclaiming authority but also setting a positive example for Arianna in her wrestling career.
