Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson Transition from Friends to Romantic Partners

NEW YORK, NY — Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson have officially moved from friendship to romance this spring. They confirmed their relationship while working together on the popular series ‘BBQ Brawl.’
Flay, a team captain on the show, shared his thoughts in a recent interview, emphasizing their long-standing friendship. “I’ve been friends with Brooke forever. We shot this show before we started actually officially dating,” he told PEOPLE.
Williamson has been a judge on ‘BBQ Brawl’ since its inception in 2019. Flay remarked, “It’s always been fun to have her around, but now going forward, it’s a little bit different.”
The chefs have bonded over their careers and parenting, with Flay noting their similarities. “We’re both chefs. We both have kids. We’re both parents,” he said. Williamson has a son, Hudson, from a previous marriage, and Flay has a daughter, Sophie, from his former union.
Flay expressed gratitude for their partnership, stating, “It’s really nice to have kind of a best friend that you’re dating that can also be helpful answering the questions that you have.” The two have collaborated on several projects over the years, strengthening their connection.
In March, news of their relationship became public after a source revealed, “They have been friends for a while and recently decided to jump in.” The source added that Williamson’s recent divorce may have helped develop their relationship further.
Flay has been open about his views on love, sharing that he is interested in a life partner but does not believe marriage is necessary. The pair can be seen together on new episodes of ‘BBQ Brawl’ airing Sunday nights on Food Network.
