DETROIT, Mich. — Javier Baez, once hailed as a rising star in Major League Baseball, is making his comeback with the Detroit Tigers after facing serious challenges in previous seasons. Baez’s journey took a turn during a return to Wrigley Field last August, where hopes for a triumphant homecoming were dashed by a lackluster performance.

After an impressive career that included a World Series win with the Chicago Cubs, Baez struggled in his time with the Tigers, particularly due to a debilitating hip injury.
