OAKLAND, Calif. — Dell Curry expressed confidence that his son, Stephen Curry, is far from retirement and still has the drive to secure another championship with the Golden State Warriors.

Stephen Curry, who has played 1,026 regular-season games and 155 playoff contests, continues to show impressive performance on the court. His father, Dell, believes that Stephen’s style of play could allow him to compete well into his 40s.

“I think it’ll come down to not necessarily his skill, or what he can do in a game. It’s a matter of, can he go through the rigors of preparing for an NBA season? He loves the game and wants to win another title,” Dell Curry stated in a recent interview.

Steph’s previous season saw him play 70 games while averaging 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. His shooting percentages were notable, hitting 44.8% from the field and 39.7% from beyond the arc.

Despite the looming prospect of retirement, Dell Curry remains optimistic. He remarked, “If you can shoot the basketball, there’s always a team that can use you. I believe Steph can play until he says he’s done.”

The Warriors’ strategy revolves around building a team that can support their aging stars, which includes evaluating their roster and potential moves this offseason. Their focus includes upgrading their big man rotation and assessing player contracts.

As they prepare for the upcoming season, the Warriors remain committed to providing another opportunity for Stephen and Draymond Green to pursue a fifth championship, setting the stage for a crucial season ahead.
