Chris Hemsworth Celebrates Son Sasha’s Surfing Victory in Australia

BYRON BAY, Australia — Chris Hemsworth expressed his pride on social media after his son Sasha, 11, won his first surfing competition on Sunday, June 15. The event took place at the Byron Bay Boardriders Juniors competition, marking a significant milestone in the young surfer’s budding athletic career.
“So happy for my boy winning his first board riders comp,” Hemsworth, 41, wrote on Instagram. The post included a video of Sasha being celebrated by fellow competitors as he returned to the beach, grinning widely with his surfboard in hand.
A shared family photo showed Hemsworth, his son, and wife Elsa Pataky, 48, posing together on the rainy beach, with Sasha proudly holding his board. Hemsworth recognized the event’s significance, thanking @byronbayboardriders for hosting the youth-friendly competition.
Throughout his career, Hemsworth has frequently highlighted his children’s accomplishments. Earlier this year, he shared images from a dirt bike race featuring his twin son, Tristan, where he finished third in his class. Hemsworth captioned the post, “Stoked for my boy competing in his first ever race finishing 3rd in his class. Proud moment ❤️.”
In addition to martial activities, Hemsworth has been showcasing various family adventures on social media. In February, he shared a video featuring his three children, including daughter India Rose, 13, skiing and performing impressive flips down a snowy mountain.
The Hemsworth family has made Byron Bay their home and has invested in a spacious property featuring a state-of-the-art gym, catering to Hemsworth’s fitness brand, Centr. As Hemsworth balances parenting and his Hollywood career, he continues to support his children in their pursuits.
During an acceptance speech at an awards ceremony, Hemsworth expressed his admiration for his children, stating, “My kids are endlessly inspiring for so many reasons. Their ability to live in the moment and to dive into life head first is a constant reminder of what life’s about. I love you guys.” This ongoing journey of family and sport fuels not only Hemsworth’s pride as a father but also excitement for the future of his children’s athletic endeavors.
