Kenny Moore Indianapolis Colts Interception

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts took an early lead over the Tennessee Titans in their Week 3 matchup on Sunday, thanks to cornerback Kenny Moore‘s impressive interception. Moore picked off Titans quarterback Cam Ward on the first drive of the game, returning it 32 yards for a touchdown just 49 seconds into the game, putting the Colts up 7-0.

Ward, who was the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, had not thrown an interception in his first two weeks. However, he has faced pressure, being sacked 11 times already this season. After Moore’s touchdown, the Titans will need to improve their offensive line protection to help Ward find his rhythm.

This interception marked Moore’s first of the season, adding to his impressive career total of four touchdowns. Moore, who has earned the nickname “lightning in a bottle,” previously forced a fumble in the Colts’ Week 1 victory against the Miami Dolphins. Last season, he recorded three interceptions, and the Colts are hopeful he can continue that trend as they seek their first division victory of the year.

The Colts have been strong defensively, already recording four interceptions this season. Two of those came against Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, with another against Bo Nix of the Denver Broncos. The Colts have yet to turn the ball over, maintaining a perfect turnover ratio.

The Titans managed to score a 57-yard field goal on their second drive, bringing the score to 7-3. Colts quarterback Daniel Jones responded by directing his own field goal drive, pushing the lead back to 10-3.

Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo aims to make things uncomfortable for Ward throughout the game. During Tennessee’s third drive, the Colts recorded two more sacks, adding to the Titans’ growing sack total of 11 allowed this season. The Colts are eager to capitalize on this advantage as the game progresses.

The Titans struggled offensively in their previous games, failing to score a touchdown against the Broncos in their season opener and managing just one against the Los Angeles Rams. With Ward at the helm, they hope to find their offensive rhythm today.

As of now, the Colts are on track for a 3-0 start to the season, bolstered by Moore’s strong performance.
