Fc Foundation Announcement Rui Pedroto

Vila do Conde, Portugal — On Saturday night, Rui Pedroto announced the launch of the FC Foundation at a gathering of supporters celebrating 75 or more years of dedication to Futebol Clube do. Pedroto described the foundation as a “flame that joins the flame of the Dragon” and emphasized its main goal: to promote essential rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic.

During the announcement, Pedroto detailed the foundation’s institutional nature and its core purposes, which include enhancing social objectives and fostering connections with the Club. “It will support the Club’s sustainability and social responsibility strategy,” Pedroto stated. He added that the foundation’s initiatives will engage members, employees, athletes, and former athletes, while expanding the Club’s membership base and promoting its values.

In his speech, Pedroto invited the community to contribute to the foundation and expressed gratitude towards those who made it possible. “We count on everyone: members, fans, supporters, employees, leaders, sponsors, and partners of our great Club,” he said. He encouraged unity within the “blue and white family,” concluding with, “United we will be stronger. Long live Futebol Clube do.”

Pedroto also acknowledged the honorees receiving the Diamond Rosettes for their lengthy commitment to the Club. He celebrated their invaluable contributions, stating that FC represents a significant symbol of the city and country.

Speaking on the purpose of the foundation, Pedroto highlighted the growing trend among sports clubs to serve as community drivers, particularly for vulnerable populations. He noted that the foundation’s establishment was approved by the Club’s General Assembly and its Board. The act of formalizing the foundation will happen soon.

Pedroto’s vision includes advancing fundamental rights, supporting the Club’s sustainability, and creating initiatives in various fields such as health and education. “We want to contribute to a more just, cohesive, and supportive society,” he said. He called on the Portuguese-speaking community and various partners to support the foundation’s projects.

Pedroto concluded with gratitude for the collective efforts that led to this moment. He expressed a heartfelt thank you to the Club’s leadership, employees, and supporters, emphasizing that the FC Foundation is now a vital part of the Club’s legacy. “It is another spark, another flame that joins the flame of the Dragon,” he remarked.
