Nabers Football Injury News

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Wide receiver Malik Nabers is set to undergo surgery this week for a torn ACL and meniscus after sustaining a significant knee injury during a recent game. The injury occurred while Nabers was trying to catch a deep ball in the first half of a 21-18 victory against the Chargers.

Nabers, who caught a franchise-record 109 passes last season, had 18 receptions for 271 yards and two touchdowns before his injury this season. His notable rookie year also included seven touchdowns, with his catching ability notable as he now ranks among the top players in NFL history for receptions in the first 20 games of a career.

Despite the injury setbacks, Nabers is expected to make a full recovery and be back for the start of training camp. Sources say he will also have time to allow other nagging injuries, including a partially torn labrum and turf toe, to heal.

“Now is the time for repairs and recovery,” said a source close to Nabers. “This will be his first chance to get close to 100% healthy since maybe high school.”

The team is eager to see Nabers return to form, citing his impact on offense as a key piece for the future. His contributions will be missed during the upcoming games as the roster navigates his absence.
