Athlos Nyc 2025 Track And Field Event

NEW YORK CITY, NY — The Athlos NYC Meet returns for its second annual event on October 9 and 10, showcasing elite women athletes in track and field. With a prize purse of $60,000 for the winner of each event, the competition is fierce.

Headlining the event are British athletes Keely Hodgkinson, Georgia Hunter Bell, and Amy Hunt, fresh off their performances at the World Athletics Championships three weeks prior. They will compete against top international stars such as Olympic champions Faith Kipyegon and Marileidy Paulino.

The first day will feature long jump preliminaries in Times Square on October 9. The top three jumpers will advance to Friday’s finals at Icahn Stadium at 7:00 p.m. EST. The inaugural long jump event has generated excitement, with Olympic champion Tara Davis-Woodhall leading the jumpers.

On the track, 36 athletes will compete across six events: the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 100m hurdles, and mile. The 400m race will see Paulino, who won gold in Tokyo, face off against Olympic silver medalist Salwa Eid Naser.

The competition promises thrilling matchups, particularly in the women’s mile, where Kipyegon will battle American Nikki Hiltz, known for her strong finishing kick. Athletes will not only chase personal bests but also a potential world record bonus of $250,000 offered through a partnership with CashApp.

A post-show performance is expected from Grammy award-winning artist Ciara, adding to the event’s entertainment aspect. Athlos is quickly becoming a highlight of the track and field calendar, combining athletic excellence with a vibrant cultural experience.

“Athlos NYC is about celebrating female athletes and giving them the platform they deserve,” said Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of the Athlos league. This year’s event aims to further elevate women’s track and field, positioning it as an essential entertainment and sports spectacle.

With both local and international competitors, Athlos NYC 2025 promises an unforgettable finale to the track and field season.
