Calgary Flames Face Utah Mammoth in Evening Showdown

Salt Lake City, Utah – The Calgary Flames will square off against the Utah Mammoth tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET at the Delta Center.
The Flames enter the game following a 4-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, marking their third consecutive defeat. Currently, they rank near the bottom of the league, averaging 2.3 goals scored per game while allowing an average of four goals against.
Despite the recent struggles, Flames’ head coach is optimistic about the team’s potential. “We have the right players here to turn things around, we just need to focus and play our game,” he said ahead of the match.
Tonight’s projected lineup for the Flames features forwards Matvei Gridin, Nazem Kadri, and Matt Coronato. The defense will be anchored by Kevin Bahl and Rasmus Andersson, with Devin Cooley in net.
Meanwhile, the Mammoth are looking to rebound after a 3-1 defeat to the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this week. They have a similar record to the Flames, currently 1-2-0 this season, averaging 1.7 goals per game.
“We’ve been playing well, but we need to capitalize on our scoring opportunities. We can’t afford to get complacent,” said Mammoth forward Clayton Keller. Tonight’s lineup will include Keller on the front line alongside Barrett Hayton and Nick Schmaltz.
Both teams will be eager to secure a win and stave off early-season worries. The Flames will continue their road swing with a matchup against the Golden Knights in Las Vegas on Saturday, while the Mammoth will face the Sharks later in the week.
