Patrick Mahomes Kansas City Chiefs Game

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City Chiefs decisively defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 on Sunday, marking a significant win for the Chiefs as they improved their season record to 4-3.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes showcased his skills in the Week 7 matchup, completing 26 of 35 passes for 286 yards and throwing three touchdown passes. His performance included a surprising play in the second quarter. On a pivotal 4th-and-1, Mahomes sent his running back, Brashard Smith, in motion and expressed some frustration, saying, ‘This f—ing never f—ing works, man,’ before successfully handing off to Kareem Hunt, who converted the first down.

With nine different players recording receptions, wide receiver Rashee Rice had a standout performance with seven catches for 42 yards and two touchdowns, returning from a six-game suspension. Marquise Brown also contributed with a touchdown catch.

On defense, the Chiefs were relentless, holding Raiders quarterback Geno Smith to just 67 passing yards. The rushing attack struggled as well; rookie Ashton Jeanty managed only 21 yards on the ground.

Mahomes left the game after the third quarter, replaced by Gardner Minshew II. The Raiders, falling to 2-5 on the season, will look to rebound after a disappointing outing.
