Magic Vs Heat Basketball Game

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Orlando Magic narrowly defeated the Miami Heat 125-121 in an electrifying season opener at Amway Center on Wednesday night. Both teams showcased strong performances, but Miami’s late-game struggles proved costly.

Norman Powell led the Heat, scoring 28 points and grabbing nine rebounds in his debut. Despite a strong start, Miami fell behind midway through the fourth quarter after failing to score for over four minutes.

Orlando’s Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner each scored 24 points, while Desmond Bane added 23 points in his first game with the Magic after signing a new contract. A key play came from Magic guard Jalen Suggs, who made several defensive plays, including a crucial steal and layup that brought Orlando within one point late in the game.

Miami initially led 39-38 at the end of the first quarter. However, the Heat struggled to maintain their momentum, particularly in the fourth quarter when they lost their offensive rhythm. Bam Adebayo finished with 15 points but exhibited inefficiency, shooting just 4-of-13 from the field.

After Suggs’ jumper put Orlando ahead 112-110 with less than a minute remaining, Wendell Carter sealed the game with two free throws. The Heat now prepare to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, while the Magic host the Atlanta Hawks.
