Trinidad Chambliss Ole Miss Quarterback

OXFORD, Miss. — Trinidad Chambliss is set to make his mark as the starting quarterback for Ole Miss after a stellar season at Ferris State, where he led the Bulldogs to a national championship victory.

Last season, Chambliss threw for 2,925 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 1,019 yards and 25 scores, earning him GLIAC Player of the Year honors. He emerged as a dual-threat quarterback during the 2024 season, stepping in for an injured Carson Gulker and guiding Ferris State to a 49-14 win over Valdosta State in the NCAA Division II National Championship.

After a strong performance in 2023, where he completed 5 passing touchdowns and 4 rushing touchdowns, Chambliss became the starting quarterback this season. His efficiency was notable, with just 6 interceptions on 367 attempts and a 61-percent completion percentage.

Chambliss has taken the reins at Ole Miss during a successful 2025 season, leading the team to a 4-1 record in his last five starts. He has thrown for 1,549 yards and 8 touchdowns, while adding 323 rushing yards and 5 more touchdowns. His performance has put him in the conversation for the Heisman Trophy.

He first gained attention in a standout game against then-No. 4 LSU, completing 23 of 39 passes for 314 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 71 yards. His recent performance against Georgia included 263 yards and three touchdowns.

With the Rebels in contention this season, head coach Lane Kiffin expressed confidence in Chambliss’s abilities. “We’re in a great place,” Kiffin said, noting the strength of the quarterback position.

As Ole Miss prepares for their upcoming game against Oklahoma, all eyes will be on the new starter, Trinidad Chambliss, as he looks to continue his impressive rise in college football.
